Paul Cook heralds 'great year' despite second final defeat for Lincolnshire
LINCOLNSHIRE captain Paul Cook said his side have had "a great season" despite the disappointment of suffering their second final defeat of the campaign.
The Imp County were bowled out for 118 in their second innings on the final day of the Minor Counties Championship final against Dorset at Dean Park, in Bournemouth, yesterday.

Lincolnshireâs final pair of Colin Cheer, left, and Brett Houston trudge off the pitch after Dorset wrapped up victory in the Minor Counties Championship final.
It gave the home side victory by 135 runs and condemned Lincs to their second final defeat of the campaign, having lost the Minor Counties Knockout Trophy final against Shropshire last month.
The Lincs players cut dejected figures during the presentation at the end, having matched their opponents throughout a fascinating first three days of the game before coming unstuck on the final day.
But their skipper tried to remain positive saying his team can be proud of winning the Eastern Division title in the three-day game on top of reaching the one-day final.
"The only thing we can do now is try to come back next season and go one better," said Cook.
"This season has been a great season, you can't knock that. We got into two finals, and while we have lost both, you can't deny that it has been a great year for us.
"The disappointing thing is we all know we can play a lot better than we did yesterday, and we have shown that all season.
"Losing eight wickets in the first session absolutely killed us. Fair play to them they bowled well, but we haven't batted our best.
"We just didn't apply ourselves as well as we should and there were a few rash shots.
"It should have been us with the champagne at the end, at 98 for four we were still in a fairly good position. But then we lost four quick wickets.
"But that is why you play cricket, because it's a game where anything can happen."
