When stopped by police, Pearson admitted having naked pictures of children on his camcorder. Officers later searched his home and found evidence which showed he had been filming other children and transferring the images on to a CD.
Pearson, 60, of Aqua Drive, Mablethorpe, went on to admit he had an infatuation with children.
He, admitted two charges of taking an indecent image of a child and a further charge of making an indecent image. The offences took place between September 2009 and 4 September this year.
The court was told he had a previous conviction in December 2009 for a similar offence.
Liz Harte, defending, said there was no suggestion of Pearson directly approaching any children, nor had he attempted to distribute the photographs to others.
He was given a nine month jail sentence suspended for two years with supervision and was ordered to complete a sex offenders' rehabilitation programme.
He was placed on the sex offenders' register for five years.
