A PERVERT pensioner who took indecent photographs of 15 year old girls during "modelling sessions" has been jailed for two and a half years.

Peter Briggs photographed the aspiring models after they were persuaded to pose for naked shots.

Lincoln Crown Court heard that the girls were mainly recruited by another man Trevor Budworth who ran a modelling agency based in Alford.

Budworth, described as "the lynchpin" of the scam, was also charged but fell ill and died while waiting to appear before the court.

Peter Briggs, 78, of Portland Street, Lincoln, was jailed for 30 months and placed on the sex offenders' register for life.

He admitted charges of taking indecent photographs of four girls aged under 18 on dates between 2003 and 2011.

Peter Marriott, 75, of Moorland Close, Carlton le Moorland, who allowed his home to be used for a photo shoot, was jailed for 12 months and placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years after admitting inciting a child to become involved in pornography.

Trevor William Budworth, 77, of Commercial Road, Alford, also faced charges but did not attend court to enter a plea before his death.

Catarina Sjolin, prosecuting, said "Budworth held himself out as a modelling agent. He approached girls saying they looked pretty and could be a model.

"He used Briggs as a photographer and Marriott was involved."

The first victim was a 15-year-old who contacted Budworth after finding his number in Yellow Pages.

The girl travelled to Lincoln where she was photographed fully clothed by Briggs for a portfolio.

Later she returned with a 15-year-old friend and the two were offered up to £100 to pose topless.

The friend continued to visit Briggs for three years posing for topless and nude shots.

She was later devastated after learning that some of the photographs were published in the "readers' wives" section of a men's publication.

A third girl, described as vulnerable, was introduced to Budworth by a 19-year-old friend who suggested she could solve her money problems by posing.

Miss Sjolin said both girls were plied with drink and given underwear before posing for increasingly pornographic photos.

Another young girl, approached by Budworth, agreed to do some modelling but was then ordered to do naked and pornographic shots. She went to Marriott's home where she was asked to pose with an older woman in bondage shots.

Terry Boston, defending, said that Budworth saw himself as a businessman doing his best to promote talented young girls.

He said Briggs was a photographer and did not recruit any of the girls himself.

Mr Boston said neither man had any previous convictions and both had pleaded guilty.

"They are tremendously upset about what has happened and sincerely apologise."
