Petition launched for Louth cattle market plans scrutiny
A PETITION calling for a full scrutiny of Louth Cattle Market, is now available to sign at several outlets in the town.
The petition, organised by Louth Town Council, calls for East Lindsey District Council to hold a full, independent scrutiny into the cattle market site, before any decision is made on whether to sell it to a developer.
East Lindsey District Council has commissioned an independent consultant to help advise the council as to whether the authority should sell the site. The town council’s petition, which has been formed following requests at a public meeting, also calls for the Scrutiny Committee to give consideration to Keep Louth Special’s alternative plans, to make the area an attraction for outdoor pursuits.
The petition is available at Bowler Auctions, Bromleys Menswear, Louth Library, Scotts Jewelers, Wrights Newsagents, Peter Rhodes Electricals, Louth Town Council at the Sessions House, Jacksons Butchers, Damselfly Home and Kitchen, Kenwick Golf Club, with other destinations to follow.
