Plans put in place for future of Horncastle
A STEERING group is to be formed for Horncastle to produce a neighbourhood plan.
Following a public meeting in August attended by around 40 people, the majority expressed an interest in getting involved with a neighbourhood plan.
It is claimed that a neighbourhood plan will allow communities greater control on housing growth and where they want to see it. Once the plan is completed, it will be examined to make sure it complies with regulations before a referendum is held in the town.
More than 50 per cent of those who vote need to be in favour of the plan for East Lindsey District Council adopts it.
