HECKINGTON Players is celebrating the end of its most successful pantomime run with a record nine performances to packed audiences.

The players are now keen to accommodate more young people in the society who are interested in being involved with drama either on stage or backstage.

They already have a very successful junior section for eight to 12-year-olds and now a new group for young people aged 13 – 18 is being launched called 'The Inbetweeners'.

It is open to everyone of that age who has a keen interest in the subject. It is planned to put on productions both locally and also as part of drama festivals further afield. There will also be workshops and hopefully trips to the theatre.

Meetings will be held either on Mondays or Fridays during term time at Heckington Village Hall. The first is on Monday, February 27 at 6.15pm until 7.45pm. The cost is £3 per session and places are strictly limited.

If you are interested please call Andrew Key on 01529 461161 for more information.
