Police called out to "man with knife" on Lincoln High Street
Emergency services in Lincoln were scrambled to reports of a man weilding a knife in Lincoln City Centre - only to discover he had just bought it from a shop.
A number of police vehicles and ambulances headed off down the High Street after they received the report of the man with the weapon.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said:"Officers attended and they did find someone with a knife, but it turned out it was perfectly lawful - and perfectly packaged - because he had just bought it from a shop.
"I think he was probably a bit surprised by the response!"
