Skegness Police are anxious to trace a four-year-old boy who has gone missing with the couple he was living with.

Kanan was in a temporary placement with Darren and Marcia Langton, living in the Grosvenor Road area of the town.

He was due to be returned to the care of an East London Borough Children's Services on Tuesday August 31 however Mr and Mrs Langton failed to meet social workers to hand over Kanan as required and appear to have left the address.

Their current whereabouts is unknown but they are originally from the Doncaster area, having moved to Skegness only very recently. It is possible they could have travelled to other areas of the country.

Darren Langton is described as a white male aged 40 years, of slim build with short dark hair. Marcia is a black lady of average build with short dark hair.

Kanan is of mixed race with short dark hair, brown eyes and of slim build.

DI Andy Wardell said: "We are now becoming anxious to trace these people and our absolute primary objective is to ensure the safe return of Kanan to Children's services. We have concerns for Kanan's well being and are wishing to hear from anyone who has any information regarding his current whereabouts.”

Anyone with information should call 0300 111 0300 quoting incident number 109 of the August 31 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
