PEOPLE in Sleaford are being offered the chance to get their Christmas presents security marked during a force-wide day of action on Tuesday January 19.

Everything from bikes to electrical goods like laptops and ipods will be marked by the neighbourhood policing during the next Operation Fusion event.

Officers in Sleaford will be handing out UV marker pens and crime prevention leaflets as well as giving on-the-spot advice to help keep prized possessions safe.

Property marking is a major advantage in both deterring and detecting crime as it increases the force's ability to get stolen property back to its rightful owner, and session are being held in police stations, schools, colleges and community venues.

The marking takes place at the Riverside cycle shop and Sainsburys (mobile phones and cycles).
