The following tips have been recommended to ensure the security of dogs:
Microchip your pets as soon as you become the owner.
Keep up to date photos of your pet as they age.
Never leave your pet outside unattended.
Teach your dog to come to call, if you regularly walk them in large open spaces, so you can retrieve them quickly if you notice anyone taking an interest in your dog.
