Police are continuing to search for missing Marion Scott, 83, six days after she went missing from her home in Market Rasen.

Mrs Scott left her home in Acre Close at around 6.45pm on Thursday. It is thought she may have gone for a walk in the area of Willingham Woods.

It is possible she may have covered some distance from her home.

Officers are renewing their appeal for farmers, landowners and residents to check all their sheds and outbuildings and are also asking the public to let them know if they think they may have seen Marion at any point over the last few days.

Assistant Chief Constable Keith Smy has expressed gratitude to the local residents and volunteers who have given their time to help search for Mrs Scott, but the nature of the physical land search has now changed and will be carried out by professional search teams.

While members of the public are now being asked not to turn up to help with the search, they are being asked to remain vigilant while they go about their daily business such as dog walking etc.
