POLICE are to pilot a new folding bicycle scheme in the area to help improve local policing patrols.

Community Beat Manager PC Terry Standbrook, is to be undertaking a trial of the idea in the Wainfleet, Burgh Le Marsh and Spilsby area over the next few months.

A London-based company is providing the folding cycle free of charge on a trial basis. Once at a location, PC Standbrook will place a notice in his patrol car informing local residents or anyone passing by that the officer is patrolling in their neighbourhood and will return shortly.
