Popular market in Gainsborough cancelled due to heavy snowfall
Heavy snowfall has led to the cancellation of a bi-weekly market, in Gainsborough.
The market takes place every Tuesday and Saturday in Market Place, in the town centre.
But West Lindsey District Council has said that due to the snow, tomorrow's market will not take place.

“what heavy snowfall all bus routes are open as normal and roads just cause you get an inch of snow does this means that council cannot operate normally and play about with peoples livelyhoods ie market traders who find it hard in these times to make a living without an overzealous council cancelling a market on a perfectly good day”

“Is this a headline grabber by the LE, or an over-reaction by WLDC?
What is classed as "heavy snowfall". The couple of inches we, in this region, have had, or like in the north where the road snow markers are in feet, not inches?”
