Preparing to pay tribute to heroes lost in line of duty
REMEMBRANCE services and parades will be held across the east coast this week.
On November 11, a Festival of Remembrance will be held at the Embassy Theatre in Skegness, with music provided by Skegness Silver Band.
The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available from the Embassy Theatre on 08456 740505.
A Remembrance Day service will also be held at St Matthew's Church, Lumley Avenue at 11am.

In Spilsby, the Act of Remembrance will be observed at the John Franklin memorial at 11am on Friday.
After the minute's silence the Padre, children and members of the local community will then lay wreaths on the graves of servicemen in the cemetery.
On Remembrance Sunday, November 13, the Skegness parade will assemble at the coach park on Richmond Drive at 10.15am ready for the start of the march to St Matthew's Church at 10.30am.
The laying of wreaths and minute's silence will be held at the war memorial and will be followed by a civic service inside the church.
In Mablethorpe, the parade will assemble at the Community Hall on Stanley Avenue at 9.30am for a United Remembrance Sunday service.
At 10.40am, a parade will then leave the hall and make its way to Mablethorpe War Memorial for prayers and the laying of wreaths.
The United Remembrance Service in Sutton on Sea will be held at the Methodist Church in Alford Road at 10.45am.
A parade from the church to the War Memorial will leave at 11.55am and the prayers and laying of wreaths will take place at 12.15pm. Alford's parade will gather at Finnveden car park at 9.30am to march to the church for a 10am service.
This will be followed by the laying of wreaths and Act of Remembrance around the war memorial to coincide with the two minutes silence at 11am.
The Remembrance Sunday parade will assemble in Spilsby's Lower Market Place at 10.30am before the laying of wreaths at the town War Memorial.
Chapel St Leonards parish council will be holding a special ceremony and Service of Remembrance on its Village Green at 11 am on November 11.
The service, which will be conducted by Father Terry Bardell, will supplement the traditional Remembrance Sunday service that will take place at St Leonard's Church.
