Pub stocks up to seal the fate of visitors
THE Red Lion in Stickford has recently taken delivery of a brand new set of stand-up stocks for this year's village fete.
The Village Fete takes place at the Red Lion Pub and St Helen's Church on Sunday, August 25.
Wet sponges will be the missiles used rather than the traditional rotten fruit and eggs.
Games, stalls, pony rides and a have-a-go Karaoke are among the attractions.

Landlord Nick Wilkinson is inviting all to join in and said: "Come and enjoy this beautiful church, and if you missed the recent show from the village History Group, now is your chance to catch the main attractions, with pictures and memorabilia from Stickford's past. Teas and cakes will be available.
"Several car boot pitches are up for grabs so take the chance to clear out your unwanted treasures and make some money."
There will be a barbecue all afternoon, and to finish the festivities Banjo Bob Garrett will be playing in the pub from about 8pm. All proceeds to go towards supporting Stickford's Community Centre and St Helen's Church.
Visitors can go along and play wang-a-wellie and poke-a-pig. Kick off is at 12.30pm.
