Quiz police hopefuls at Lincolnshire Echo Hustings
Candidates running for Lincolnshire's Policing and Crime Commissioner will be grilled by the public.
The Echo is hosting a Hustings, where an audience can quiz the people who each believe they are best equipped to replace Lincolnshire Police Authority.
Elections will be held nationwide on November 15 to choose the PCCs for 41 force areas.
They will be responsible for setting priorities for their police force, overseeing its budget and hiring the chief constable.
Echo editor Steven Fletcher will host the event at the Drill Hall, in Free School Lane, on October 23.
"The Government is predicting a very low turnout when people go to the polls in November," he said.
"We want to do better than that in Lincolnshire because this is such a crucial role and also one that will shape the force."
The job is expected to come with a salary in the region of £75,000 and candidates had to stump up £5,000 to get in the running.
Places are limited so to secure a seat in the audience please email email@example.com with your name and contact number.
The event starts at 6.30pm. Anyone attending is advised to arrive for 6pm.
