“High leigh from Mikecadwel Once again the board and directors at city fc have been forced onto the managerial merry go round. Can they get it right this time ? After failing at this task for the last 3 times. Have we any faith in them to do so? Is the man out there who can awaken this sleeping giant( some say he is dead already I prefer to believe he is just slumbering) If the right man is out there, is his name on the application list? Whoever comes in will face a tough task and will need time and access to quality players who can do a job(nearly for nothing) to keep this once great football club from another relegation. The choice the directors make this time could be the difference between a return to leiague football or oblivion. From what I can see up to now we have had a good selection of applicants for the position. In walking away DH has saved us from another relegation. This squad is not good enough for the job in hand. Up the imps Mikecadwel”

Could I take a small amount of your time to ask a question regarding Lincoln City F.C that has come to mind , Has the injury crisis(well talked about by D.H and yourself over the last few weeks ) resulted in any large degree to the general feeling of doom and gloom that has once again descended over Sincil bank.? Or maybe we have a board of directors lacking the desire to try to find funding that is so badley needed to improve this poor squad believing instead that o well there is always Blue Square North and well put up with gates of 4 or 5 hundred or maybe even give up the ghost all together and sell the ground for building. In closing I would just like to comment on your reply to Westside imp in today's " Echo" when you say Goals are not important but defending is.
For me goals are very important they win or loose football matches but to get back to Lincoln City it's no good winning one game in a blaze of glory and then loosing the next 4 as this poor squad is doing at the moment. For me that is religation form! I hope they prove me wrong! I am here to be shot at. The king of doom and gloom

You ask for comments on LincolnCity so here is how I see the situation at the moment.

One of the main problems we have is that a large proportion of the city faithful don't believe that David Holdsworth (with or without finance ) is the right man to get us out of the mess we are in. You only have to listen to shouts of Holdsworth out to realise that.
As the biggest club in the area Lincoln should be the dominant one,Instead they are a shambles and far to easy to beat. They should at least be on a par with Grimsby,But at the moment they are far behind. Next season at this rate we will be playing Gainsborough who in my opinion are all ready a more compact unit than we are.

    Up the imps

    Mike”

    “Leigh
You ask for feedback on Lincoln City F.C on your new website , so here goes. This is how I see the situation at this present time. Without investment from some quarter Lincoln City are only going one way ! Down,One problem we have is that a lot of the city faithful don't believe that David Holdsworth( you only have to hear shouts of Holdsworth out,Coming from the Co-op stand after each defeat) to realise that,is the right man to get us out of the mess we are in.This goes weather we get investment or not.As a football club Lincoln should be the dominant club in this area, instead they are in my opinion in 3rd place behind Grimsby and Gainsborough and maybe soon 4th if Boston progress under there new manager.Lincoln are far to easy to beat these days and sometimes are nothing but a shambles. Clueless at set pieces(corners and free kicks) which are always matchwiners if performed right. This is the poorest City side I have witnessed for a long time and for the first time ,after several seasons of dissapointment,am wondering weather to renew my season ticket next year and face more of this underachievement

“Leigh, do you think football in this country is heading in the right direction? Do you think that it is becoming a better game?

For me it has always been about community and enjoying the sport. Now it seems to be pricing people out, become a general soap story with new updates each week with the referee usually cast as the villan (in national media), and fans seem to becoming rabid in their support of teams (Liverpool's experts on South American sayings and dialogue, Chelsea's experts in lip reading). But I wonder if that is just my personal view as I become 30 and footballers have lost their hero status they once had when I was a child, from Dale Gordon to Dean Walling.”

“Leigh, do you beleive the references made regards to injuries and the squad size of DH. Arguably when Gilbert, Fofana, Power and Duffy return we will have 25-30 first team players with, 10 of these being sat in the stands. Should emphasis be focused more on quality than quantity? ...and it is a crazy mis-match when four goalkeepers are on the books and only three recognised centre halfs in the imps weakest position?”

“When will the directors see what is happening with the team selection. What about my team:
Preece,- Gray,Garner,Miller,Gilbert-Sheridan,Thomson,Bush,Nicolau,-Power,Taylor.SUBS:Farman,Jones,Boyce,Robinson,Forfana(when fit)I think Roinson is good from the bench, and build his body weight up, and then bring him through gradually.

What are your thoughts about the selection process of favourites first, then just fill in.

Are you going to pass on all of these SUPPORTERS views to the Chairman & Directors for them to discuss with DH,GB,&CM, would be good don't you think.Check that out with JP.”

“Murray said the England comment a long time ago - and I am sure I have probably said an anti-Scottish or Welsh thing now and again that I probably don't mean. Should we all be judged like that theoutworker?”

“Why is Murray always reffered to as the "Scot" or "Scotlands" Andy Murray, yet when Tim Henman was around, he was always reffered to as "Britains" Tim Henman or the "Brit" never "England's" Tim Henman?”
