Rachel Revs Up For 2013
Local racer Rachel Pearson from Spilsby is getting ready for her first full race season in 2013 as she prepares to enter the MK2 Golf GTI Championship again.
2012 saw Rachel only competing in four rounds of the championship because of budget issues; however that didn't stop her taking a first and second place at her home circuit of Cadwell Park and respectable 4th place finishes at a very wet Snetterton in late October.
With the success of her limited 2012 campaign Rachel really feels that with the backing of local companies she can really take the fight to the men for championship honours this season.
With a few changes to the regulations again this season, a reduction of the weight of the cars for her class and a new tyre supplier for the championship it will all add up to an exciting year.

The championship will kick off at the end of March at Oulton Park before visiting Donnington Park, Cadwell Park, Spa in Belgium, Brands Hatch Gp circuit and finally Snetterton to end the season in October.
Rachel has already welcomed back Nettleham Building and Tiller and C C Recovery Scunthorpe as sponsors for 2013 but would really like to hear from other local companies that may be interested in offering support, to help Rachel achieve her championship goals and maybe take further steps in the male dominated world of motorsport.
The championship will again this year feature television coverage on Motors TV for all the rounds which last year made for excellent viewing.
