Record number of applicants to University of Lincoln
The number of students wanting to study at the University of Lincoln has risen by more than 25 per cent since last year, according to data published by UCAS.
The institution has received a record number of applications from the UK and abroad to study in Lincoln from September 2013.

Applications have risen ahead of national figures with the number of applications to Higher Education institutions in the UK increasing by 3.5 per cent since last year.
Elly Sample, Director of Communications, Development and Marketing at the University of Lincoln, said: “Lincoln has bucked the trend. With an increase in applications seven times the national average, these figures are a testament to our standing as one of the country’s most exciting and innovative universities.

Interest in the University of Lincoln’s courses was strong across the board with substantial increases in Engineering, Law, Nursing, Computer Science, History and Psychology.
The University of Lincoln has risen to 47th Guardian University Guide in recent years.
Work is underway to create a new School of Pharmacy, as the first component of the science and innovation park being developed with the Lincolnshire Co-operative.
The new School of Art and Design building will welcome new undergraduates starting in September 2013.
