Record numbers at Lincoln Santa fun run
Record numbers have taken part in the 7th annual Lincoln Santa fun run and walk in the Bailgate, today.
Organisers are estimating that more than £50,000 has been raised for charity, which would be the biggest ever total, topping last year's figure of £42,000.
Almost 1,700 runners entered the event which is organised by the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia and sponsored by Siemens.
Participants dressed in red Santa suits rasing money for British Heart Foundation Lincoln, St Barnabas Hospice, Samaritans Lincoln, Candles, Lincs Air Ambulance and Rotary Local Charities.

Adults, children and even dogs completed the 3.5km route that took in the historic sites of the Bailgate area.
Runners set off at 11:30am from Castle Square, lead by the Mayor of Lincoln, Councillor Karen Lee and her team from St Barnabas Hospice.
