Renewed witness appeal after man dies in burning car in Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses after a man died in a burning car on New Year's Eve.

A blue Ford Mondeo, registration P775 KEG, was parked on Chain Bridge Road, in Wyberton, when it caught fire at around 8.40am.

The vehicle is believed to have been distinctive as it had a different colour bonnet to the rest of the car.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and is believed to be a man in his 40s, but a formal identification has yet to take place.

His death is being treated as unexplained as officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding it.
