A Lincolnshire business has pledged its support to the Lincoln Cathedral Fabric Fund in its bid to restore the South West Turret of the cathedral.

Clugston Group Limited has come forward to sponsor a lift for the restoration project.

Clugston is the first business to add its sponsorship since the Prince of Wales became the Patron of the Fabric Fund.

The Clugston Group is a privately owned, limited group of businesses founded nearly 75 years ago in Lincolnshire.

Speaking about the sponsorship, John Clugston, president of the group, said: "I am delighted to support the Turret Campaign in our company's 75th anniversary year and continue our Group's association with Lincoln Cathedral."
