The splash zone has slides and woodland creatures to help young children become confident in the water before they learn to swim.
Centre managers hope that the revised timetable will cater for all ages and sections of the community.
Slots have been allocated for early morning swims, 50+ sessions, aquafit classes, lane swimming, schools sessions, lessons, adult-only sessions, triathlon and swimming club training.
There will also be toddler sessions, pool fitness classes, lifeguard training and Kids Krazy fun sessions.
The pool can also be hired privately by groups.
Triathletes training for competitions will now use the facility on Monday nights from 7-8pm, and the swimming club have a slot on both Wednesday and Friday evenings.
The £2.85million project has also seen the gym and fitness suite improved, with floor-space increased to include separate cardio and toning rooms over two floors.
