Mayflower received funding for the project from Lincolnshire County Council's Supporting People scheme.
David Medlock of the charitable Medlock Trust which owns the building performed the ribbon cutting to officially declare the hostel open.
The event also saw Women's Aid, Addaction, the South Lincs CVS, Credit Union and Lincolnshire Action Trust in attendance.
Boston Mayflower's lettings manager Deborah Tempest told the Target: "We feel the opening event held at Mayflower House went extremely well.
"Many different local organisations and agencies attended – and many people said they were very impressed with both the event and the Mayflower House homeless hostel.
"We would like to thank all those who attended as they helped make the day a very special one."
As well as accommodation the hostel provides its residents with assistance in life skills such as cooking, careers, education and budgeting.
Its staff also aim to help residents in securing permanent self-contained accommodation in the future.
A Boston Mayflower spokesman added the hostel was the latest step in building on the housing association's "strong reputation in the local area for providing affordable housing and giving support to vulnerable people" since it began operation 10 years ago.
