Richard Sargent claims award
A Lincoln-based wheelchair basketball player has won the Nottinghamshire Junior Disabled Sportsperson of the Year award.
Great Britain under-23 international Richard Sargent, 17, from North Hykeham, trains in Nottingham and formerly played for the Newark Jaguars.

He now represents the Wolverhampton Rhinos and regularly plays for Great Britain and won a silver medal at the Astratech Tournament.
Sargent, who was also nominated for the Lincolnshire Junior Disabled Sportsperson of the Year award will be attending the Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme (LEAP) presentation evening at Bishop Grosseteste University College on February 26 (6.30pm).
The LEAP presentation evening celebrates the athletes' commitment and dedication to their sport, their achievements over the past year and their aspirations towards 2012 and beyond.
