Road blocked for nine hours by five-vehicle Sutton Bridge crash
A main road in the south east of Lincolnshire was blocked for nine hours by a crash involving five vehicles including a 30-seater bus.
One driver was taken to hospital with serious leg fractures following the pile-up on the A17 at Sutton Bridge.
The road, between Wisbech and Kings Lynn, was completely closed from 8.40pm last night until 5.30am this morning by police investigating the multiple collision.
Lincolnshire Police, who described the incident as a 'serious road traffic collision', said the injured man was at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta.

It was in a crash involving a Daewoo Matiz, a Mercedes B180, a Volkswagen Beetle and a bus which had no passengers on board.
The Fiesta driver, a man from Norfolk, was taken to hospital in Kings Lynn with serious leg injuries.
And a 39-year-old Sutton Bridge woman who was driving the Matiz was treated for cuts after she climbed out of her overturned car.
Police said no-one else required medical attention.
