ROB SCOTT has attempted to ease the pressure on his squad ahead of Boston United's toughest week of the season so far, telling his players to "enjoy the ride".

The Pilgrims' outstanding start to life in Blue Square Bet North will be tested to limit over the next two weekends with mouth-watering fixtures against the division's early pacesetters.

Second-placed Workington visit York Street on Saturday (3pm) before Boston visit big-spending Alfreton, who have roared out of the blocks with seven wins out of seven.

Scott insists no one outside York Street expects United to win either game against sides who were play-off losers last season.

"Workington are a good side who lost in the play-offs last year to Alfreton (who lost in the final to Fleetwood)," said Scott in his exclusive Target column, Boss's Briefing.

"They're an industrious side and have had a team together for a long time.

"Alfreton are another side who are expected to be at the top. But, as I've said to the lads, it's a great journey to be on. "We're not expected to win any of these three games.

"We were in the UniBond Premier last season with the same squad virtually. The players have come a long, long way."
