Santa sales – even at this time of year – certainly suits Lincoln company
It's probably the last thing most of us would think to buy in the height of summer.
Yet the ongoing warm weather has coincided with a red hot demand for Santa suits.
Lincoln firm Running Imp sold 6,000 suits, to events in Gibraltar, Liverpool, Shropshire and Northern Ireland.
And so far this year the business, which specialises in sports clothing, equipment, merchandise and trophies, has sold 28,000 Santa outfits.

It comes after the company secured four orders to supply suits to Santa-themed fun runs across the country.
Running Imp managing director Faye Yarwood said the business development team at the company based in Jubilee House on Whisby Way had been working hard to secure the sales.
"In an average year we sell approximately 17,000 Santa suits," she said. "But so far this year demand has been so high that the company has put 40,000 suits into production."
