Sausage Festival's historic link
IT'S nearing the end of October which means it's that time of year again, time to celebrate one of the county's most famous exports.
The eagerly-awaited Lincolnshire Sausage Festival takes place in Lincoln this weekend.
Now in it's 11th year, centred around the Bailgate on Saturday, it will get your tastebuds tingling with lots of lovely local delights.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm in Lincoln Castle and Castle Square, and visitors can pop along to see demonstrations from TV chef Rachael Green, as well as sausage-making demonstrations by Neil Curtis, from Curtis' of Lincoln, and a children's cookery demonstration in Redhill Farm's marquee.
The area will be filled with the mouth-watering smell of perfectly cooked Lincolnshire Sausages as well as stalls selling all types of produce so you can be sure to enjoy a taster or two.
