BOSTON UNITED'S quest for compensation for former managers Rob Scott and Paul Hurst should finally end next month.

The pair quit the Pilgrims in March last year to take over at Grimsby Town, who they have guided to the edge of the Blue Square Bet Premier play-offs.

At the time, Boston chairman claimed there was "no mechanism within their contracts" which allowed them to walk away from York Street and vowed to take Scott and Hurst, and the Mariners, to court.

Grimsby, meanwhile, insist they are innocent of any wrongdoing.

A court date has yet to be set, but Newton says the case is likely to be heard in March.

The Target understands the Mariners wanted to have the case heard at a court in Grimsby, but that request was knocked back by the Pilgrims.
