Sentenced: Sleaford man burnt wife's onesie after finding her naked with colleague
A man who set fire to his wife's onesie after finding her naked on the sofa with another man has been ordered to pay £200 compensation.
James Spry, of Sycamore Drive, Sleaford, returned home from a night out to find his wife in a “compromising position”.
In July, Spry had taken his wife to Skegness for the day in an attempt to rescue his marriage having separated a month before.
There, he bought her clothes including a onesie.
When back in Sleaford, the pair went out with separate friends and when Spry let himself into the matrimonial home at 4am, he found his wife naked with a work colleague.
Spry admitted charges of assault by beating and arson.
He also pleaded guilty to criminal damage to doors and walls of the property to the value of £400 during a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on August 20.
Spry was given a two year community order, told to pay £200 compensation, £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
