Settled Gainsborough Trinity are on the up, says in-form Paul Connor
Paul Connor believes Gainsborough Trinity have the versatility to charge into promotion contention for the second successive season.
Connor scored twice as the Blues stated their credentials by holding Blue Square Bet North leaders Brackley to a 2-2 draw last weekend.

The resulted extended Trinity's unbeaten run in the league to five games ahead of back-to-back home matches against struggling pair Workington and Hinckley.
After a solid if unspectacular start to the season, Connor says Gainsborough are hitting their stride and ready to bridge the gap to the play-off places, which currently stands at three points.

"Our start to the season was okay. It was always going to take time to settle because we've got new players and a new style of play," said Connor.
"We're playing a bit more football this season, which I think you can play at this level now.
"With the amount of quality players that are dropping out of the Football League, a few teams are trying to play good football.
"But we've also got the other side to our game. Sometimes you need to be direct, particularly when the pitches are not so good.
"You've got to be adaptable and I believe we've got the players to do that."
Last Saturday, Connor struck either side of Brackley's goals, scored by Glenn Walker and Owen Story.
While a point represented a welcome return for Gainsborough, Connor and his manager Steve Housham were left slightly disappointed they did not take all three.
"We would have taken a point before the game," admitted Connor.
"But after the way the game panned out, we perhaps could have won it.
"If Brackley are the benchmark then we've got nothing to worry about. There's no reason why we can't be up there ourselves."
Housham added: "A draw against the leaders looks a good result, but on reflection I was a little disappointed we didn't win the game.
"We hit the bar twice and had plenty of other chances.
"We played very well. We've got players back from injury and we've got good competition in the side at the moment."
