CONSTRUCTION contractors for the Sleaford Leisure Centre refurbishment have proven themselves to be performing exceptionally in the first of two Considerate Contractors' scheme visits.
The £2.85m leisure centre refurbishment project was found to have been exceptionally organised by RG Carters Ltd, and has displayed very high standards in all of the categories as audited.
Site manager Jason Wilson said: "We are extremely pleased with the first scoring of the site. We have worked extremely hard as a team and with the district council to get things right on the site, for the benefit of not only the workforce but the community as well."
The aim of the Considerate Contractors' scheme is to improve the image of construction. Independent monitors drawn from senior levels of the various disciplines within the industry are trained in monitoring sites against the scheme's Site Code of Considerate Practice, to highlight areas where improvements are considered necessary and to encourage best practice.
