Skegness Hospital hosts guided tours to celebrate its centenary year
GUIDED tours of a town's hospital is the latest event to mark its centenary year.
As part of its latest celebrations, Skegness Hospital will be holding the tours as part of a summer gala on September 1.
Visitors will get the chance to look behind the scenes and step back in time to see how the hospital has changed over the 100 years it has been open.
Mark Simmonds, MP for Boston and Skegness, will officially open the day, which will run from 11am-3pm.

Visitors can enjoy a host of family fun, with various stalls, games and crafts run by hospital staff and hospital supporters.
A selection of old photographs and memorabilia, some of which has been donated by the community, will be on display, while staff from the lymphoedema service will be giving demonstrations of their specialist equipment.
Skegness Day Centre, which shares the hospital grounds, will also be supporting the celebrations by helping to provide teas and coffees.
Jackie Shaw, Matron for Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, said: "This is a very special year for Skegness Hospital and this is a great opportunity for the community to come and have a look around and meet some of our staff.
"All of the money we raise on the day will go towards the trust's charitable fund which benefits our patients and staff."
