Skegness man jailed for street attack which shattered victim's jaw
A SKEGNESS man who carried out a street attack which left his victim with a shattered jaw has been jailed at Lincoln Crown Court.
Axel Leeman attacked Robert Daubney just months after making a false complaint to police which led to Mr Daubney being arrested by officers.

Leeman, 23, of Scrimshaw Court, Skegness, admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm on August 31 and perverting the course of justice on April 6.
Judge Michael Heath jailed Leeman for 27 months telling him: "Any sentence less would be an insult to the victim".

Catarina Sjolin, prosecuting, said that in April Leeman contacted police with a false claim that he had been assaulted by Mr Daubney.
Leeman went on to make a statement claiming he was attacked as he walked home in the early hours leaving him with a bleeding nose and broken glasses. He named Mr Daubney as his attacker.
Mr Daubney was arrested and interviewed under caution but further police inquiries resulted in the uncovering of evidence which conflicted with Leeman's story. Leeman himself was interviewed and made no comment.
But at the end of August Leeman approached Mr Daubney on Grand Parade in Skegness and punched him in the face.
Mr Daubney's jaw was broken in two places and he underwent an operation to have a plate inserted to hold his jaw together. David Eager, defending, said Leeman did not have a history of violence and had pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity. He said the grievous bodily harm offence occurred in the heat of the moment and was out of character.
