Skegness Town will look to extend their unbeaten start to 2010 with the visit of Grimsby Borough Reserves on Saturday (2pm).

Borough, whose first team play in the Northern Counties East League, have not faced the seasiders so far this season, but Town know they will be no pushovers.

Last weekend, the Grimsby side beat Lincoln Moorlands Railway Reserves 4-3, an identical result to that achieved by the Lilywhites recently.

Town have lost the services of player-manager Steve Appleby, who has left with the blessing of the Skegness camp to try his luck in the Ridgeons League managing Wisbech Town.

"It was an opportunity that Steve felt he couldn't refuse," explained chairman Nigel West.

"We certainly understand his reasons for accepting the challenge at a side two steps higher than the Lincolnshire League.

"We wish him well and hope that our paths cross again in the not too distant future.

"We know our team is in safe hands, with Steve's co-manager Barry Kilmore and Nick Chapman remaining at the helm."

Town will be without the suspended Jordan Dixon for the visit of Grimsby.
