Dan Vines, crew manager at Skegness Fire Station, said: “With car safety evolving fast, firefighter training is always on-going to ensure crews are prepared for what might face them at the scene of a road traffic collision.
“Without the support of Sid Dennis and his family over the past three decades, it would have been much more difficult to carry out life-saving training.
“We just want to say how grateful we are for the generosity and support Sid has given us.”
Sid Dennis said: “We have a fantastic relationship with the fire service and have, for the past 30 years, given our scrap cars to the local crews for to help them practice their rescue techniques.
“We’ve been a part of the community since Sid Dennis and Sons Ltd was started by my grandfather in 1884 and we always want to support local people.
“I know by helping Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue by donating the cars, ultimately means that we can help saves lives in the local area. Anything we can do to help is worthwhile.”
