Former Skegness student aims to conquer Mount Everest base camp for charity
A FORMER Skegness Grammar School student is aiming high as she prepares to conquer Mount Everest in the name of charity.
Hannah Brown, 22, who now attends Nottingham Trent University is undergoing training after accepting the challenge from children's charity Childreach International.

Hannah said: "Childreach International works in genuine partnership with local communities in the developing world in places such as Nepal, Tanzania, Cambodia, India and Pakistan to help improve children's access to healthcare, education, child rights and protection.
"There are about 30 of us going on this challenge to the base camp of Everest, all of which are students of Nottingham Trent University."

Hannah is well on her way to raising her target amount of £2,500 with £585.44 raised so far.
Hannah added: "I am leaving on June 16 until July 4.
"We fly out to Kathmandu then take a smaller mountain flight over to Lukla which is in the lower slopes of the Himalayas.
"We start the challenge by visiting one of Childreach Internationals projects that challenges like this before have helped and then the next nine days is the ascent up to the base camp of Everest."
When the group makes it to the top there will be a well-deserved celebration before they all head home.
Hannah said: "This challenge I am very much looking forward to, I have always been a keen traveller and seeing as much of the world is my main goal in life.
"This is pretty much a once in a lifetime opportunity and I have never done anything else like this before."
Other events being held to help Hannah on her way are a Table Top Sale at the Village Hall in Chapel St Leonards on February 16.
There will be crafts, cakes jewellery and lots more on sale as well as tombola and teas and coffees.
February 23 and April 13 will see a tombola held in the Hildreds Centre, Skegness.
