Sleaford Cricket Club sign New Zealand international Tim McIntosh
Sleaford Cricket Club have pulled off one of the coups of the winter after signing New Zealand Test batsman Tim McIntosh for the 2013 campaign.
The left-hander, who has a Test century against West Indies to his name, will play for Oliver Burford's side in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League this season.

McIntosh is also set to play a major role off the pitch at London Road.
"Tim will be participating fully in our club's coaching programme at all age groups," said Chris Travers of Sleaford Cricket Club.

"We are hopeful that the presence of such a high profile player will enhance the coaching experience for the 200 or so youngsters who receive qualified coaching at Sleaford Cricket Club, as well as developing the performance, both individually and collectively, of senior players at the club."
Travers thanked local businesses for making the signing of McIntosh possible.
"The acquisition of a player of this calibre clearly comes at a cost and Sleaford Cricket Club are grateful to a consortium of local sponsors who have contributed towards Tim's employment," added Travers.

McIntosh will not line up against Alastair Cook's side during England's tour to New Zealand in February and March after falling out of favour with the Black Caps.
However, the 33-year-old was opening the batting for his country as recently as January 2011.
Overall, he has made 17 Test appearances with an average of just under 28.
McIntosh is no stranger to the UK having spent the 2007 and 2008 seasons with Scottish National League side Greenock.
