Sleaford Town Councillors donate their allowances to local charities
FOR the second year running, Sleaford Town Councillors have donated their allowances to a charitable fund.
The majority of councillors did not take their allowance in 2012/13 and agreed the amount should be placed in the Sleaford Town Fund, with a sum of just over £6,000 donated.

The Fund was established in 2012 and awards small grants to local individuals and organisations. It is administered by the Lincolnshire Community Foundation.
Town Council clerk, Shelagh McIntyre, said: "This Fund helps groups and individuals in so many small but significant ways – it helps to make a difference."
