Sleaford showjumping team become National Schools Equestrian Association champions

A TEAM of show jumpers from Kesteven and Sleaford High School became the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) champions last month.

The team consisting of Laura Finnegan, Lauren Williams, Jessica Bird and Freya Munks, from years eight and nine became the Mini show-jumping National Champions on Saturday, October 20 at the Equestrian Centre in Buckinghamshire.

    DRESSAGE DELIGHT: Charlotte Barber from year 13 came third in the Elementary test with horse Gransho.

Also competing against top young British dressage riders was Charlotte Barber from year 13 who won third place in the Elementary test on her mother’s horse ‘Gransho’.

Charlotte has recently been selected to join the GB Young Rider squad and is looking for has recently been selected to join the GB Young Rider squad.

Since the nationals the Show Jumping teams have continued their run of success with new Year 7 and 8 recruits, Laura Bates, Ella Burtt and Scarlet Meade who have joined the teams in their quest to compete in the National 2013. The campaign has begun well by the teams winning the Novice and Intermediate show jumping classes at the County Championship at Horseworld Equestrian Centre on 3rd November, qualifying them for National Championships 2013.
