South Common funfair arrives in Lincoln
The Showmen's Guild funfair has arrived in Lincoln offering everything from an upside-down view of the Cathedral to candy floss and classic attractions such as the waltzers and hook-a-duck.
The fair is on South Common, opening tonight at 5:30pm and will be in the city from April 20 to 28.
Boasting one of the biggest attractions on the funfair circuit, the fair includes a ride called 'Take Off' which rotates revellers in multiple directions whilst lifting them 68ft high in the air.
The ride weighs 75 tonnes and is transported on four articulated lorries.

Aside from the hair-raising rides there is a range of entertainment for the family with rides for children and traditional funfair games with plenty of prizes to be one.
Showman, Ashley Wood said: "We've got rides like Take Off which has three motions and a lot of g-force but people don't have to spend a lot of money, it is £1 to get in but then you can just enjoy the atmosphere."
The majority of the rides are £2 for adults and £1.5 for children and there is free parking available on site.
A proportion of the £1 entry fee is donated to St John's Ambulance who are on hand at the fair which also has security and public toilets.
Opening times during the week are from 5:30pm until around 10pm and on Saturdays from 2pm until 10pm but it is closed on Sunday.
