AFTER a row with his partner, a Spilsby man went to her home, kicked down a door and assaulted her, Skegness Magistrates have been told.

Mark William Ingram, 28, of Boston Road, admitted assaulting Nichola Hall causing her actual bodily harm on September 14 and also committing damage to a door, mirror and a car wing mirror belonging to her.

Prosecuting, Paul Wood said Ingram and Ms Hall had been on a night out which had ended with her throwing a drink at him and going home alone.

Wood however later followed her and kicked a door down to get in, at which time a fight took place between them.

He said Ingram punched her to the head causing marks to her neck and bumps on her forehead, which went beyond self defence or restraint and he admitted to police officers that he had ‘lost it’.

As he left, he damaged her car’s wing mirror.

Mitigating, Gordon Holt said Ingram recognised that the relationship was truly finished.

Magistrates imposed a two year community order with supervision and ordered he pay £100 compensation to Ms Hall for her injuries and also £50 towards prosecution costs.

They also granted a restraining order in relation to Ms Hall.
