Stefan Galinski slams 'disgusting' challenge on Boston United team-mate Scott Garner
Stefan Galinski dedicated Boston United’s 3-0 victory over Guiseley to Scott Garner after slamming Craig Hobson’s “disgusting” challenge on his fellow defender.
Galinski replaced Garner after just 10 minutes of yesterday’s clash after the centre-back appeared to be caught by the elbow of Hobson, who was only booked for the challenge.
Despite losing Garner to a nasty facial injury, United went on to win convincingly thanks to second half goals from Carl Piergianni and a brace from Marc Newsham.
Galinski revealed what happened to Garner helped galvanise the Pilgrims.

“It was very satisfying. Not just the result, but the way we came together after what happened to Garns (Garner). What the guy (Hobson) did to him was disgusting, but we stuck together and got the result. That’s what I’m most happy with,” said Galinski, the former Derby County youngster who joined Boston in the summer.
“He definitely should have been sent off. I’ve heard that he’s not kind of player, but he did it, you can’t argue with that.
“It was a straight elbow to his face. Garns, bless him, his teeth have been pushed back and I feel very sorry for him. It was a disgusting, disgusting challenge and he should have been sent off.
“When you see one of your players get hurt like that, you come to together. We did that, we got the result and it was for Garns.”
