Stolen goods sales helps to keep the burglars in business
LINCOLNSHIRE Crimestoppers in conjunction with Lincolnshire Police have launched a campaign aimed at deterring people from handling goods that have been stolen.
In the lead up to Christmas and with people being on tighter budgets, police recognise that the temptation for a bargain is increased.
However Crimestoppers are making people aware that if they buy something that is knowingly stolen, it always comes at the expense of someone else and people are doing nothing other than keeping the burglars in business.
Crimestoppers wants anyone who can help reduce the number of victims of crime, especially victims of burglary, to report any suspicious transactions to them by calling the charity on 0800 555 111.
