Street all set for its annual party
The street party will return to the bottom of Steep Hill on Saturday, August 10 when Fete on The Strait returns for another event.
Organised by the Bottom of the Hill group of niche traders, streets will be lined with around 24 stalls offering items such as handmade jewellery, pottery and glassware while live music and face painting will add to the celebratory atmosphere for young and old visitors alike.
Bottom of the Hill group chair Richard Baxter said: "There will be lots for people to enjoy, with plenty of stalls, including a vintage stand where people can meet individual producers and chat about the products they make.
"People can also linger in the area at the foot of Steep Hill to listen to a variety of buskers and try their luck on the tombola.

"We shall also have a face painter on hand to transform young visitors into their favourite characters."
Food and drink will be available at the event including a Pimms bar.
Proceeds will once again be used towards erecting an archway at the foot of The Strait, sign-posting visitors to this area. Local artists have been involved in helping with designs for the project, which will hopefully be completed soon.
