LEGEND RETOLD: King Edward VI Humanities College students are preparing for a special one-off performance at Stickney on Saturday.
Priscilla, of Stickney, was hanged at Lincoln Castle in 1868 for allegedly murdering her husband, but her lodger admitted his murder two years later.
Local musicians and BBC Lincolnshire folk presenters, Tom Lane and Dick Appleton, were commissioned to set the local legend to music and the result is a moving account of Priscilla's tragic story. Students from years seven to nine will present their performance of the story at Stickney Village Hall at 4.30pm on Saturday.
Head teacher Margaret Reeve said: "The students are thoroughly enjoying their rehearsals and are all looking forward to the performance. It's such an exciting opportunity for the students to work with professional actors and musicians and I can't wait to see them in action on the big night."
Tickets are free and available from BBC Lincolnshire on 01522 511411.
