Superfast broadband in three-year plan for Greater Lincolnshire LEP

Improved rail links and broadband will form part of the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership's three-year vision.

Businesses will hear about the LEP's ambitions for future growth in its 2013 to 2016 business plan at its first summit.

Guests will join the organisation as it debates the big economic issues facing Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.

The free event will be held on Friday, October 12 at Market Rasen Racecourse and will be hosted by the LEP's chair Ursula Lidbetter.

The private sector-led body's long-term aim is to improve conditions for infrastructure and business in the greater Lincolnshire area.

Ruth Carver, from the LEP Secretariat, said: "Some of the LEP's ambitions we will outline include lobbying for key infrastructure to be put in place such as a direct rail link between Lincoln and London, good services for utilities such as water, gas and electricity and increasing broadband coverage across the county.

"We want to make sure that businesses across greater Lincolnshire feel comfortable with the priorities we've outlined, so we'll be asking for feedback from people attending the event and offering people who aren't there a chance to have their say over the coming month."

The summit will take place between 9.30am and 1.30pm.
