Lincoln Magistrates' Court
Lincoln magistrates heard Manolea, who is from Romania, had been in the UK less than a week when he was caught. He was fined £265 after pleading guilty to the offence.
He had joined two strangers in London after arriving from Spain on January 21.
The trio travelled to Lincoln on January 26 and targeted the store later that day.
He was ordered to pay the fine out of £600 he had in cash.

“@virtuoso
And what skills do you bring to the country? You can't even use capital letters correctly and my housemate who works with you says you're useless.
@DavidSLincoln
The thing is, you aren't an educated, well travelled person. You're an ignorant, mouth-breathing, nationalist idiot who can't grasp the fact that someone who has been in the country a week isn't an immigrant.”

“Nine hundred quid's worth of booze! I'm surprised he could even move the trolley.”

“I love the way the indoctrinated liberals feel that if an educated well travelled person feels that immigration is not inherently good for the people of this country they must be: illiterate, uneducated, poorly travelled, badly raised, a nazi, a racist, etc etc. Has it not occured to you that well educated people think through things and can see that beyond the spin being take in by most, unfettered immigration is absolutely not good for this country.”

“I really can't decide what's the most stupid... walking out of a supermarket with a trolley full of booze or believing that going to all the time, trouble and expense of deporting somebody is an appropriate response to a single shoplifting offence.”

“First offence in the UK I'm surprised he didn't just get an £80 FPN at least this went to court. He pleaded guilty so he should have been made to use the rest of his money on a ticket back to Romania and his passport stamped "Banned from the UK".”

“Does anyone else feel that they have a `sense of detachment' when it comes to right and wrong, good and evil, real and unreal?”

“He had been in the country less than a week, after travelling from Spain. This does not make him an immigrant.
Have you never taken a holiday abroad?”

“Ill keep repeating it, but when will someone show me - thats me and my family - the direct benefits of unfettered immigration.”

“Is it just me, or does a 265 pound fine give better than a 1 in 3 chance of making a profit?
Was the fine calculated as leaving him just enough for a return journey to Romania?”
