Supporters of £50m development in Mablethorpe prepare to hand petition to council
SUPPORTERS of a £50million development proposed for Mablethorpe are preparing to hand over a petition.
The Mablethorpe Action Group in Support of Lindum (MAGLIN) expects to have about 1,400 signatures and 300 letters in favour of LB Mablethorpe's plans when it hands them over to head of planning at East Lindsey District Council, David Loveday, tomorrow (Thursday).

Part of the Lincoln-based Lindum Group, LB Mablethorpe applied for outline planning permission for a supermarket, petrol station, an extra care housing facility and 180 homes on land south of Jacklin Crescent on Golf Road.
The application was refused by the council's planning committee in December but will be reconsidered by the same committee on March 16 after LB Mablethorpe Ltd raised concerns around procedural issues at the meeting.
MAGLIN vice chairman, Peter Spybey, said: "There is masses of support in the town. Everyone was gobsmacked when it was turned down.
"We can't afford to throw away £50million of investment. The town is dying.
"We have got one of the best beaches on the east coast but the rest of the town doesn't match it."
